Getting Started & Purchasing
Do you have a free trial?
Yes. In trial mode, all premium features are available, but imported pins will be watermarked. This allows you to fully evaluate the plugin, stress-test it with your team and workflow before purchasing.
Pro-tip: A bit of processing is involved with watermarking, so if you think Pinner is fast in trial mode, wait until it's fully unlocked!
Is this a one-time purchase or a subscription?
Pinner is a one-time purchase. You pay once and get unlimited, high-speed imports and all future updates. No subscriptions, no credits, no hidden fees.
How does licensing work for teams?
In line with Figma's policy, a license is required for each team member who needs to import or sync boards. Team members without a license can still view, move, and interact with any images that have been imported into the Figma file.
Core Features & Usage
How do I import my private Pinterest boards?
After you securely connect your Pinterest account, all of your boards—including private and secret ones—will appear in the plugin. Simply click the "Import" button for the one you want.
How does the 'Sync' feature work?
After importing a board, you can continue to add or remove pins on Pinterest. When you're ready to update, open Pinner and click the "Sync" button for that board. Pinner will intelligently add the new pins and remove the ones you deleted, keeping your Figma board perfectly in sync.
Note: If you manually delete a pin from the imported frame in Figma, Pinner considers it intentionally removed and will no longer track it during a sync. This prevents the plugin from re-adding an image you've decided to discard from your layout.

Is there a limit to how many pins I can import?
There is no hard limit. We have stress-tested boards with over 600 pins with excellent performance and have yet to encounter a ceiling.
What resolution are the imported images?
Pinner always fetches the highest resolution image available for each pin directly from Pinterest's API. You can be confident you're working with the best quality source material for your designs.
Does Pinner import Video Pins?
Currently, Pinner is optimized for static images, as they are most commonly used in design workflows for moodboarding and asset collection. However, support for importing videos and GIFs is on our roadmap.
When this feature is released, it will be included as a free update under your existing one-time license.
Can Pinner keep Board Sections separated?
Not yet. However, support for importing board sections is on our roadmap.
When this feature is released, it will be included as a free update under your existing one-time license.
Can I access pin metadata like the description or URL?
Currently, Pinner is optimized for the core visual workflow, retrieving the pin's image and its dominant color for palette creation. However, the ability to import and use pin metadata (like descriptions, titles, and source URLs) is a top priority on our roadmap.
Best of all, when this feature is released, it will be included as a free update under your existing one-time license. Stay tuned for some exciting updates!
Advanced Workflows & Technical Questions
Can I import multiple copies of the same board?
Yes, absolutely. Each copy is tracked independently with its own unique import settings. When you sync that board, Pinner will update all imported copies of it within your current Figma file to reflect the latest changes from Pinterest.
Can a teammate sync a board that I imported?
For security and privacy, only the user who originally imported a board can manage its sync. All sync data is stored locally within your Figma account, not on our servers, to ensure your connection remains private.
Will importing hundreds of images slow down my Figma file?
Pinner itself is extremely lightweight and will not slow down Figma. However, Figma's performance can be affected by the sheer number of high-resolution images in any file. For very large boards, we recommend importing them onto a separate "Inspiration" page within your file to keep your main working pages fast and responsive.
How is Pinner more secure than other options?
Security is a core part of our design. Many other solutions rely on browser extensions, which can pose a serious privacy risk by requiring broad permissions to read your browser's data. Pinner avoids this entirely.
Our plugin uses a direct, secure connection to the official Pinterest API. We are hands-off with your data—your authentication token is encrypted during the handoff, and all sync information is stored locally within your Figma file, not on our servers. Your creative work and your account's security are never compromised.
For a detailed security comparison with other plugins, see our Complete Guide to Pinterest-to-Figma Plugins.
What data does Pinner store?
Pinner is built with privacy as a priority. We do not store your pin data on our servers. The secure connection to Pinterest is handled directly between you and Pinterest, and your synced board information is stored locally within your Figma file.
Support & Troubleshooting
Why is my Pinner board no longer syncable?
Oh snap! This usually happens because the parent board frame was modified or changed such that Pinner can no longer locate it.
Why is the plugin failing to Authenticate?
Unlike Figma, Pinner requires an active internet connection to communicate with Pinterest for logging in, importing, and syncing boards. If any of these operations are failing, the most common reason is an unstable or disconnected internet connection.
Please ensure your computer is online before trying again. This is a frequent issue for users working on laptops in different locations with varying Wi-Fi quality.
How do I get support or request a feature?
We're actively developing Pinner and love hearing from users! For support, bug reports, or feature requests, please reach out to us directly at support@azolla.studio. We'll get back to you as quickly as possible.
What if an image fails to import?
This is rare, but can occasionally happen if a pin's source image is broken or inaccessible. Pinner will notify you if any images could not be fetched. Usually, trying again after a few minutes or checking the pin on Pinterest resolves the issue.
